I do not think people understand that it is all around us at all times and if it were not for the grace of God, Satan would kill us all. It is knowing that we are not alone, and that the enemy constantly seeks to destroy God’s kingdom, tearing it down, while we seek to be become edified and built up as the Body of Christ. Satan prowls around looking to destroy not only individually, but the whole
1Pet. 5: 8, 9 talks about Satan walking about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Even more, the devil is successfully robbing the
Knowing that this subject in is rejected in over half of the Body of Christ today, we must look in the Bible for the real answers, receive authority from the Father, watch the Messiah for direction, and be led by God’s Spirit. We need to go forth to take new ground for His Kingdom, tearing down Satan and his demons, and releasing his captives. In his Blood is the victory over Satan! For we overcome through His Blood and our testimony that we have been washed clean in it. Rev. 1: 5, 6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first-begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, v6. And has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father: to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever, Amen
Heb. 13: 20, 21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting Covenant, v21. Make you perfect in ever good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
We need to pray against the evil sprits over our county and nation. Just as God directs His angels over His cities, so does Satan!
That is why we need to be praying for the leaders of our nation, all those in authority, and all people for their salvation and full knowledge of the truth. Think about what God said in Matt. 9: 36-38.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest is truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few:
And while we’re on spiritual warfare lets look at what is coming up this month called Halloween. If you think Satan doesn’t use this to get more of a hold on the young people just keep reading.
Listed below are Bible verses that discuss the very thing that took place when Halloween first started and what still takes place at times.
Many people have been exposed to Ouija boards, séances, and other forbidden practices during Halloween. Some may reply that “we only do this in fun. We don’t practice witchcraft.” That which represents Satan and his domain cannot be handled as “for fun“.
Such participation places you in enemy and forbidden territory and that is dangerous ground. And why would you want your child exposed to such practices.
Some may think that we are over emphasizing the influence of the demonic during Halloween. That there is too much emphasis on witchcraft and the satanic. It is not as bad as we think.
What about the presentation of violence, murder, blood, atmosphere of fear, and death that is experienced during Halloween. Many more homes have ghoulish decorations. The violent and grotesque movies come out and are the number one videos rented during Halloween.
Halloween is preoccupied with death. More destructive acts are done during Halloween. The Bible makes it very clear that we are not to have anything to do with the deeds of darkness.
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.” Ephesians 5: 11 – 12
“When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are a abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.” Deuteronomy 18: 9-12
“And what agreement hath the
Wherefore come out from among them. And be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6: 16-18
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and sprit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2Corinthians 7: 1
After reading the origin of Halloween and what the Bible has to say, why would a parent allow their children to dress up as witches, monsters, or any other evil representation? Why would they allow their children to go to haunted houses? Why would they allow their children to go to a Halloween party that plays around with séances, ouija boards, tarot cards, or watching violent videos? Why would they let their children trick or trick in a neighborhood that has displays that are intentionally made to be frightening and grotesque? Many parents say, “Because my child will get upset if I don’t let them. Their friends will make fun of them.” Where in the Bible does it say that we should allow our children to rule over us? Where in the Bible does it say that we should allow other people’s opinions to influence us? I would challenge you to do something constructive with your children this Halloween. Take them to a church event. Celebrate the light, Jesus Christ, instead of darkness. Many churches in the county celebrate Hallelujah instead of Halloween.
